Who we are:

We are Phil Gacka (GD&T, Coordinate Metrology, Tolerance Simulation), Samuel Gacka (Vehicle Dynamics, Machine Learning, Databases) and Tom Gacka (Automotive Systems Engineering, Product Development, Functional Safety). We have had accountability in design, simulation, data analysis, control systems, manufacturing planning & production launch in the automotive, aerospace, commercial product & motorsports markets. We seek to apply these broad & complementary capabilities for our customer’s benefit through consulting and product development. We are geographically diverse – Pittsburgh & Orange County CA in the USA and Thalwil, Switzerland. We are fluent in English, Italian, German, and conversational in Japanese. |

Phil Gacka Phil brings over 38 years of engineering and management experience in the aluminum industry. Phil is an industry expert in dimensional control of aluminum structures in multiple markets from prototyping to production and has experience in Product Development with Additive Manufacturing. Early career experience in aluminum rolling mill process control & chemical process simulation allowed Phil to develop competencies in real time system coding, computational numerical methods & industrial statistics. Production launch & system commissioning as well as the technology transfer process to customers have always been key deliverables in his project work. Phil retired in 2019 after a career with Alcoa & Arconic. Next, he fulfilled a long-time goal of starting an engineering business with two of his sons. He is interested in helping organizations achieve their goals & close technical gaps through efficient application of his expertise via training and contract consulting. |

Samuel Gacka Samuel brings nearly two decades of professional experience and expertise from all sides of the automotive industry, from large OEMs and multinational automotive suppliers to hyper specialized and high performance motorsports teams. Samuel is an expert in quantifying, evaluating and designing for performance. He is currently the driver in the loop simulator coordinator at Alfa Romeo Racing Formula 1 team. Samuel has lived on 3 continents, and has worked professionally in 4 different languages. Samuel understands the importance of performance and brings the attitude of continuous improvement to all products and services at Gacka Engineering, LLC. |

Tom Gacka Tom has been working in the automotive industry for 10 years as a mechanical and systems engineer. Tom is always working at the forefront of new technology with experience in turbocharged internal combusion engines, hybrid and electric vehicle powertrains and controls, and autonomous vehicle safety. Tom brings his passion for new technology development and domain specific knowledge to advance Gacka Engineering's product offerings and consultancy services. |
